Gotta love a bit of film cake. The colourscheme of the (frankly perplexing at best) Sofia Coppola film Marie Antoinette was actually inspired by a French cake shop – the Parisian Laduree:
Good lord, it's the promised land!
Not only is it ridonkulously pretty and the inspiration behind some pretty awesome cinematography, but it is also where the colourful double macaroon was invented. People who invent new cakes = gods. Amazing.
